Workbook

        Tableau work book is the area where the complete work in the tableau.The work books in the tableau are much simple like MS EXCEL. This workbook contains sheets which can be either work sheet or dashboards.The work book allows the users to organised ,save ,share our work in the tableau.
 This work book is the container for all work in the tableau.To create a new work book in the tableau click on file tab and select new or used ctrl+n

Work space

      tableau work space is the part of tableau workbook.tableau work space mainly consists of 8 different components are.

     
       Data window

       Toolbar

       Show me

       Shelves

       Marks card

       Statues bar

       Sheets

       Tableau work space controllers


  Data window

           Data window appears on the left side of the tableau workspace.In the data window the list of different data fields

           available in 4 different tabs namely

                  Dimensions

                  measures

                 sets

                 parameters

Toolbar


    Toolbar is the place where the list of different options are available in the tableau.this tool bar appears at the top of the work space.the different options are available in the tool bar are.


        Undo and Redo

        save

        connect to data
       
        New sheet

        Duplicate sheet

        clear sheet

        Automatic updates

       Run updates

       Swap

       Sorting

      ABC

      Show or hidden cards

      Screen fitting options

      Presentation mode

   

SHOE ME

 Show me is the area where the list of different charts are available.In the show me active charts indicate the charts which are supported by the data fields in the columns and row shelves where as the inactive charts indicate which are not support by the database.

 note;

    If we are passed  the automatic updates it is not possible to use the show me.


Shelves


   In tableau shelves is the area where we can place all the data fields .the different shelves available are


          column shelve

          row shelve

          page shelve
 
          filter shelve.

Marks card

          Marks card is the container where the different type of charts are available.

        the marks card contains Legends AND shelves.

Sheets

              In  tableau sheets are mainly  worksheet and dashboards

        Worksheet :--

              Work sheet is the area where we will do in our data by dogging and dropping the data fields on to the shelves.work sheet is the smallest development comment in the tableau.worksheet can be created in multiple ways by clicking on sheet tab in the bottom are using tool bar or  click on
work sheet or new worksheet menu.

          Dashboards

          In the tableau dashboard collection of multiple worksheet where we can combine to create a new dashboard click on dashboard button in the bottom or use tool bar click dashboard and select new dash board from menu.


 Status bar


      At the bottom of each and every work sheet tableau displays the statues of the work sheets in the form of a single line is known as statues bar.
